Both artist Steven Scholes and myself, Michael Gutteridge, were recently interviewed by Richard Fair on BBC Manchester Radio about our joint exhibition ‘Manchester Vision‘ at the Blyth Gallery, Manchester (see blog entry below!) The programme went out live as part of his ‘Studio 6 ‘afternoon programme so it was a bit nerve-wracking as it was the first ever ‘live on air’ radio interview I’d ever given. We were asked about such things as why we both choose Manchester as our main subject matter and the general image of the city presently. Steven spoke first for about five minutes and then me for another five. Then I went to the pub to recover. The featured painting is ‘St. Ann’s Square, East, Manchester No. 2‘ (50x70cm acrylic on board) which is being shown at the exhibition and has already sold.
