I’m pleased to report that a team of medical staff from Manchester University NHS recently bought one of my paintings as a retirement gift for their Professor Evans, a renowned geneticist. whom, it was explained to me, had set up a national service that has and continues to support patients with a difficult genetic condition called NF2. The painting they chose was ‘Red Building With Trees on Violet Background’ (50x40cm) which can be seen here. It is of a building in Manchester which always appealed to me each time I passed it as a good subject to paint. It’s a semi abstract work inasmuch as it’s about colour harmonies as much as the subject matter. I felt very honoured that that they chose one of my works for this gift and I hope that Professor Evans liked and enjoys the painting.
